Due to the restrictions in place because of the Coronavirus pandemic, we ask that you show a little patience if your food sometimes takes a little longer to come out. All our dishes are freshly prepared. It’s worth the wait!


Our Kitchen may be small, but we are adept at providing simple, freshly prepared dishes bursting with flavour. Where possible we use locally sourced ingredients from suppliers such as Mays Farm Cart, Downsview Farm, Cheese Please and Flint Owl Bakery.

We offer an enticing range of small plates, sandwiches and main meals, alongside your favourite Pub Classics. Light bites include the ever popular Halloumi chips with Siracha mayonnaise, Squid & Chorizo fritters and whole baked Camembert with red onion jam. If you are looking for something more substantial, we do a mean 28 Day Dry Aged Sussex Short-horn Steak, our Vegan Curry is delicious and who can resist a steaming plate of mussels. And let’s not forget our excellent Sunday Roasts. Just yummmmmm!

Set just off the High Street, The Royal Oak is the ideal location for lunch. As the evenings draw in, we offer the perfect spot for you to settle in with a nice bottle of wine and spoil yourself. After all, you deserve it!
